Pasta Aglio Olio
with Sauteed King Cup Sardines

Executive Chef Kim Dalisay of Luxent Hotel shares this filling and comforting pasta dish that packs in a ton of flavors without any calorie-laden ingredients. It is also quick and easy to prepare.

4 kgs. angel hair pasta
500 ml. pure olive oil
500 grams minced garlic
2 cans King Cup Sardines with Chili, drained
salt to taste
4 grams ground pepper
10 grams garlic powder
sprinkle of chili flakes
250 grams chopped parsley
250 grams Parmesan cheese

1. Boil water with salt in a pot. Add angel hair pasta and boil for 10 minutes or until al dente.
2. In a pan, add pure olive oil, then sauté garlic and King Cup Sardines over medium heat.
3. Add the pasta and toss well, then sprinkle with salt, ground pepper, garlic powder and chili flakes.
4. Garnish with parsley and serve with Parmesan cheese.
