Conti’s new Healthy Grain Bowls and Gourmet Greens

CONTI’S Bakeshop and Restaurant is not just about awesome cakes. It is also about good food, and this is never more evident than when it recently introduced the latest additions to its menu—the Healthy Grain Bowls and Gourmet Greens.

Yummy gets healthy with these new Healthy Grain Bowls and Gourmet Greens.

The Healthy Grain Bowls are similar to rice toppings, but instead of the usual steamed white rice, these seafood meals come with locally sourced grains called Adlai. These grains are nutrient-packed, energy-boosting, protein-rich, low in glucose, and gluten-free.

There are three Healthy Grain BowlsScallop Adlai Risotto, Garlic Squid Adlai, and Soy Ginger Shrimp Adlai.

Scallop Adlai Risotto is rich and creamy whole-grain Adlai cooked into a risotto with savory tender-seared scallops mixed with earthy shiitake and fresh button mushrooms.

Garlic Squid Adlai is soft and tender squid sautéed in olive oil with garlic, parsley and cherry tomatoes, and served atop Adlai rice.

Soy Ginger Shrimp Adlai consists of pan-fried juicy shrimps coated in soy ginger dressing, topped with spring onion, and served with Adlai rice.

There are also two new crisp and cool Gourmet Greens salads—Ensalada and Squid Salad.

Ensalada is a refreshing salad mix of crisp mustard leaves, red cherry tomatoes, green papaya, white radish and slated egg, topped with Bicol’s pili nuts and served with a zesty bagoong vinaigrette.

Squid Salad is a garden fresh salad with tender squid, mixed greens, juicy cherry tomatoes and alfalfa sprouts, served with a citrusy soy-ginger vinaigrette.
