DURING Christmas, whether it be a pandemic year or a regular one, you simply cannot resist sweets. After all, cakes, bars, and other desserts and sweets form part of any celebration, and Christmas happens to be one of the biggest celebrations of the year in the Philippines.
Joining in the celebration this year, just like in many years past, is Cravings. While 2020 is not an ordinary year indeed, Cravings is still presenting its best from its bakeshop and kitchen to somehow fill in the void.
From the bakeshop comes classic choices, such as Chocolate Caramel Cake, Chocolate Midnight Madness, Devil’s Food Cake, Cherry Walnut Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, and Mocha Praline Crunch Cake. Special “In-Season” cakes, which are all getting rave reviews online, include the Mango Honey Cereal Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, and Dayap Cake.
To add to all these already sinfully delicious choices this year, Cravings recently released a Christmas Holiday Cakes collection with more choices, flavors and trimmings. This collection includes the Chocolate Caramel Christmas Greeting Cake, the Christmas Cake, and the Pinoy Christmas-inspired Bibingka Soufflé Cake, Peanut Butter and Jam Cake, Berry Mascarpone, and Tres Leches Yema Cake.
To complement these cakes are Holiday Bars selections, such as Salted Caramel Brownies, Red Velvet Cheesecake, Brownies, Peanut Butter Paisley, all of which come in a box of either 8 or 16. Then there are the cupcakes, cookies, ensaymada, S’mores, and Dark Chocolate/White Chocolate Chunks.
What about a Dessert Tray? One that consists of bite-sized bars, cookies and chocolates? Or a Happiness Box, which contains an assortment of S’mores, bars and cookies.
