Mid-Autumn Treasures at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila

IT’S mooncake season once again, as the Mid-Autumn Festival draws near. Also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates the end of the autumn harvest and is therefore an expression of gratitude for a bountiful harvest. An auspicious occasion that started in China and is now observed in Chinese communities all over the world, it falls on September 10 this year (2022).

This explains why there is an abundance of mooncakes in the local market lately, including the premium mooncakes of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila. The hotel’s premium mooncakes, crafted by the talented team behind the Cantonese restaurant, Lung Hin, illuminate the auspicious season with blessings of health, happiness and prosperity.

Inspired by the season’s deep beliefs and rich traditions, this year’s featured mooncake flavors are Red Bean with Double Egg Yolks, Red Lotus Seed with Double Egg Yolks, White Lotus Seed with Double Egg Yolks, and Black Sesame with Double Egg Yolks. Guests may opt to order individual boxes at Php918, boxes of four mooncakes at Php3,258, or boxes of six mooncakes at Php4,388.

Limited-edition Treasure Chests are also available for sharing one’s blessings of bliss and good fortune with loved ones, cherished friends, and dear colleagues. The custom-made treasure chests of four and six mooncakes are available at Php3,538 and Php4,638, respectively.

And, oh, for those who wish to avail of limited-time savings of 20% on orders of at least 10 boxes of four or 10 boxes of six, there is still time to do so. There are exactly two more days left for the promo, whose cut-off for orders is on August 31, 2022. The mooncakes will be available starting September 1.
