Spanish Milkfish Sandwich

Spanish Milkfish Sandwich (photo) 071414I LIKE making sandwiches. Likewise, I enjoy making my own fish, chicken and puso ng saging burgers, although I also sometimes fill my sandwiches with tuna salad, egg salad, Spanish sardines and corned tuna and layer them with tomato and cucumber slices on a bed of curly or Romaine lettuce. I don’t like using regular tasty loaf bread for my sandwiches, though. I figured, sandwiches I make are special so the bread, too, has to be special. My preference happens to be whole wheat bread, and Gardenia’s High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread happens to be one of my biggest favorites.

Gardenia’s High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread provides 20% of daily fiber needs with just two slices, which is perfect for a sandwich. It is transfat-free for heart health and is fortified with Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C and minerals such as Calcium, Iron and Folate. It also combines the goodness of wholemeal flour and the natural taste of real honey. Because of all these, it is able to provide power and stamina to last us through the day, ensure strong bones and teeth, a strong immune system, healthy blood, good vision, youthful skin and proper mental development, especially in growing children.

Gardenia’s High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread is just one of Gardenia’s 4-product health line, the three others being High Fiber Wheat Raisin Loaf, Wheat Cranberry Loaf, and Slim ‘n Fit Wheaten Bread.

One other good thing about Gardenia is that it shares a lot of sandwich ideas and recipes with consumers, one of which is its Spanish Milkfish Sandwich, which is not just delicious and easy to prepare but is also loaded with vitamins and minerals present in milkfish, including Vitamins B6 and B12, Phosphorus (which is essential to bone formation), Selenium (an antioxidant) and Niacin (which helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.)
