GOOD news for ice cream lovers: Kiss the Tiramisu, a famous dessert café that originated from South Korea, is now in the Philippines.
What started out as a small ice cream store in Hongdae, Seoul, Korea, is best known for its signature luxury soft-serve ice cream served in elegant acrylic goblets. The ice cream is made with real mascarpone cheese and pure fresh milk shipped straight from Korea. Rich, decadent and made with only the highest quality ingredients, Kiss the Tiramisu’s luxury soft-serve ice cream has also captured the fancy of ice cream lovers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and Canada so much so that it now has stores in all these countries.
Just recently, Kiss the Tiramisu opened its first branch in the Philippines. It can be found at Three Central along Valero St., Makati City, and it serves three ice cream variants—Classic Tiramisu, Matcha Tiramisu, and Injeolmi Tiramisu. That people like the Classic Tiramisu (sweet and creamy Tiramisu soft-serve ice cream) is a given. But Kiss the Tiramisu has gone a step further by offering Matcha Tiramisu (generous amounts of pure matcha or green tea powder and sauce is sprinkled and drizzled on top of Tiramisu ice cream) and Injeolmi Tiramisu (the delicious Korean rice cake is covered in powdered dried soy beans).
All three variants have a Tiramisu base, which is the ice cream version of the famous Italian cake or dessert.
“The founder of Kiss the Tiramisu wondered why the Italian dessert has only been served in cake form. From there, the café’s classic Tiramisu ice cream was born,” explains Shirley Vy, owner of Foodeology Inc., the official Philippine franchisee of Kiss the Tiramisu.
The idea behind Kiss the Tiramisu is that, although it offers limited flavors, each flavor is deliciously premium and carefully perfected to provide an elevated, well-rounded dessert experience from the first mouthful. Each serving is assembled right in front of customers upon order, so they get to see how each treat is skillfully made, with layers of premium ingredients. Then this is served in an elegant acrylic goblet.
Two new flavors, which will be exclusively available in the Philippines, shall be launched soon.
“We understand how Filipinos are passionate about food. We’re excited to introduce local flavors in new and exciting ways,” Vy says.
Kiss the Tiramisu also serves cakes and coffee, thus completing its range of heavenly desserts plus coffee to go with them.
“There is always something to be happy about, no matter how your day goes. Maybe you were able to check all your tasks off your to-do list, or you got promoted at work. Whatever that is, Kiss the Tiramisu wants to be with you at your happiest moments. We believe that every day deserves its own reward,” Vy ends.
